SAN LUCAS ENCANTO TURÍSTICO DEL SUR DEL ECUADOR

La parroquia San Lucas está ubicada al norte de la provincia de Loja, a 45 km en la Panamericana Loja - Cuenca, en el cantón y provincia de Loja, a pesar de sus cercanías al cantón Saraguro, esta no pertenece a Saraguro sino es de jurisdicción del Cantón Loja.

En la parte oriental del pobado de San Lucas (provincia de Loja), en la quebrada de Vinoyacu y al pie del cerro Acacana, en un pequeño valle flanqueado por dos riachuelos, se encuentra el monumento arqueológico de Tambo Blanco o Ciudadela.

Las Ruinas de Ciudadela consideradas como un centro arquelógico en donde existen huellas o pequeños muros de una antigua ciudad incasica, la misma que estaba atravesada por el camino real o del Inca.

Tambo Blanco es una de las más importantes Ruinas de la provincia de Loja. En la actualidad, estas edificaciones se encuentran en estado de deterioro y la mayoría de ellas están cubiertas por la vegetación.

En medio de la selva, apostado en las faldas del cerro Acacana Tambo Blanco fue un parador donde llegaba el Inca luego de sus jornadas. Era una fortaleza amurallada, rodeada por una fosa de diez a quince metros de profundidad.

El palacio fue construido con bloques de granito bien pulido, abombado, cubierto de cerámica blanca y en algunos casos con pigmentos, sus graderíos eran de oro junto al altar de los sacrificios había un semicírculo para las diferentes categorías sociales. Cerca se hallaba el foso para castigos y sacrificios en el mismo graderío frente al gran salón el inca recibía a la nobleza, a sus parientes, amigos, y súbditos.

Cerro Sagrado de Acacana: Es el cerro más alto de la parroquia donde ésta rodeado de plantas medicinales silvestres, y sus lagunas.

Cascada del Durazno, Ciudadela, Gulac: Lugares naturales conservados donde llegan aguas desde los páramos y se celebra rituales y son aguas sanadoras.

Restos de edificaciones de piedra que se encuentran en ciudadela, que pese a la intervención de la mano del hombre, los cambios climáticos y presencia de animales bovinos han sufrido un deterioro y necesitan de una rehabilitación y mantenimiento.
